PML-N has decided to retained Zubair Omar as the spokesperson of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz despite the scandalous video clip.
PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz called Zubair Omar’s video his personal matter.
Sources have cited various reasons behind retaining the ex-governor of Sindh even after the controversial video.
It said Zubair Omar acts as a bridge between the nucleus of power and PML-N.
He is also used to crosscheck what PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif conveys to the party when he meets with the powers.
In September 2020, Muhammad Zubair met with the chief of a state institution twice for Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif but he did not accept it.
The meeting was done to thaw relations between the institution and PML-N leadership.

Later, the institution itself cleared the air about the controversy and confirmed that its chief met Zubair at his request.
