Windows 11 is now officially available for download. While Microsoft will release Windows hardware worldwide on October 5th, the company made the operating system update available early for eligible devices in New Zealand and beyond. If you recently bought a Windows 10 computer, it means you should now be able to upgrade to Windows.
For everyone else, Windows will be released gradually. Microsoft says existing Windows 10 devices eligible for the Windows 11 update will begin the update today, but it will mainly be new hardware that will receive the update. Microsoft says, “We expect everyone to be eligible Windows 10 devices receive the update to Windows 11 middle -2022 “.
