Zardari Has a Task, Nabbing Killers of Cousin Zain Effendi
Asif Zardari is the co-Chairman of PPP that rules Sindh and his cousin Zain Effendi was shot dead in the capital city, Karachi
Former President Asif Ali Zardari has the challenge to ensure the arrest of assailants of his cousin Zain Hassan Effendi who was shot dead. The victim was the great-grandson of Sindh Madressatul Islam founder, Hassan Ali Effendi.
The victim was killed in his house near Quaid-i-Azam’s mausoleum on Wednesday while resisting armed robbers.
The police said that four armed robbers broke into the victim’s house around 4am and held residents hostage.
Then, they broke inside Zain’s room and shot him on resistance.
The police told that the cousin of PPP co-Chairman Asif Zardari, Zain Effendi, was shot dead whilst his family members and servants were present.
The victim was struck with six bullets and the robbers fled with jewelry and cellphones.
Zain owned an information technology (IT) company and was a maternal cousin of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
Jamshed Quarters police have registered the case of the incident and formed an investigation team.
Karachi Police Chief Ghulam Nabi Memon said that they were probing into the killing from all angles and assured that the suspects would be booked soon.
The police also interrogated the servants and meticulously examined Zain’s room to collect forensic evidence.

Wife’s version
The victim’s wife said that four robbers broke into the house after scaling its boundaries at 4:20 am.
She said that she handed over the jewelry to them immediately when they demanded it.
One of the robbers thrust Zain to another room while another picked up his two cellphones and wallet kept on the table.
The wife told her husband narrowly escaped the first bullet shot but the second one struck in his face.
Then, the robbers fired gunshots another three to four times until Zain was dead.
