AirSial Gets First of Three Aircraft to go Airborne

WEB DESK: AirSial, a new private airline, is all set to join the aviation industry of Pakistan as it received the first of three Airbus A320s on November 29.

The private airliner was set to launch flight operations in June however they were delayed due to the coronavirus restrictions on air travel.

The aircraft landed at Jinnah International Airport (JIA) in Karachi from where it flew to Sialkot’s base where the delivery ceremony was celebrated.

All aircraft have been leased from AerCap which is the largest independent aircraft leasing company in the world.

The next airplane would join the fleet on December 3.

The private airline will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Dec 9. AirSial is expected to begin its flight operations from December 15.

The private airliner will start operations initially with three planes with flights between Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, and Peshawar before expanding operations.

This is another milestone for Sialkot Chamber of Commerce after their Sialkot international Airport Ltd initiative went successful.
