The novel coronavirus pandemic has shrunk businesses with less exposure and a small customer base due to a decline in economic activities but Burger King UK has emerged as a savior for small food chains amid uncertainty in the United Kingdom (UK) with free advertisement offer.

In a photo posted on its Twitter handle, Burger King urged its customers to try products of its competitors as well as other food chains.

Besides this, it also offered free advertisement on its Instagram page having over 31,000 followers.

In a tweet shared by the Burger Chain, it said, ‘there are many restaurants that offer many great dishes that deserve to be as famous as the Burger King’s Whopper”.

It pointed out that as the UK is moving into tier-three lockdown amid a surge in coronavirus infections, the independent restaurants need support.

Interestingly, considering the large following on Burger King’s Instagram account, it has decided to make the account available to all restaurants for advertising their dishes and signature products.

In the meantime, Burger King will not post photos of its burgers’ range. Instead, it will post photos to help out other small restaurants that can advertise their products on the Instagram account of the burger chain.

The move received appreciation and many small outlets have started to advertise their burgers on the Burger King UK Instagram handle.

The offer of advertisement by Burger King extends to people from the hospitality industry too. They can get their signature dish featured on Instagram with the hashtag #WhopperAndFriends which would later be shared by Burger King.
