Pakistan Cricket Team’s Jinx Continues With Injured Players
It seems Pakistan cricket team has a jinx attached in New Zealand as its key players got injured after overcoming quarantine restrictions
Pakistan cricket team has a jinx attached in New Zealand as three key players including Captain Babar Azam, Vice-Captain Shadab Khan, and opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq have been injured.
The captain has been ruled out of the T20I series due to the injury which is a massive blow for the visitors. The experts believe that Babar Azam’s absence is going to have a huge impact on Pakistan.
Pakistan cricket team’s tour of New Zealand has been in the headlines before its start but for all wrong reasons as ostensibly it has a jinx attached in the land of Kiwis which resulted in injured players before the commencement of T20I series.
The landing of the Pakistan cricket team in New Zealand actually proved to be a landing in troubles.
Earlier, the visiting team violated quarantine restrictions and was warned by the New Zealand government.
The visitors received a punitive warning from the New Zealand government that they would be sent back if they did not abide by the quarantine restrictions.
Later, some members of Pakistan’s squad were tested positive for novel coronavirus. Following this, Pakistan’s team was barred from indoor and outdoor practice for the same reason.
It was only when the entire visiting squad was tested negative and allowed to conduct practice sessions before the T20I series against New Zealand that key players have been injured.
Babar Azam has been ruled out of the T20I series due to the injury while Imam-ul-Haq had fractured his thumb too.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s T20 Vice-Captain Shadab Khan is also carrying a groin niggle and only doing batting during the practice sessions.
He was carrying the same injury when the Zimbabwean team visited Pakistan.
Until now, it seems like the Pakistan cricket team did not just carry players to New Zealand but curse too.
The visiting team has to play three T20s and two test matches with Blackcaps on their homeland and it will emerge with the time if the jinx is broken or whether tough luck would continue.
