‘Afghan Taliban Must Stop TTP From Hostility Against Pak’

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid reiterated his resolve that Pakistan will not let use of its soil against anyone

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has called for the Afghani Taliban to stop Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from hostility against Pakistan.

The interior minister visited the Torkham Border with Afghanistan on Sunday.

Right before his visit, a suicide bombing on the Mastung Road in Quetta on Sunday morning killed four Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel and left 19 people injured.

Taliban must stop TTP from hostility

Sheikh Rashid reiterated his resolve that Pakistan will not let use of its soil against anyone, calling for the Afghan Taliban to stop TTP.

He said as many as 4,000 people have crossed the Afghan border into Pakistan’s side, adding a larger number has gone on the other side.

Sheikh Rashid said that the progress and peace in Afghanistan are in Pakistan’s interest.

He said the region is changing and it will experience progress.

The minister said the global community must appreciate Pakistan’s role in evacuating 10,000 nationals of different countries.
