After ANP, Has PPP Decided to ‘Move on’ From PDM?
PPP'd high level committee will hold a meeting on April 11 to ponder official response on show-cause notice by PDM
As Awami National Party (ANP) detached itself from Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), it is being speculated that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would be the next to move on from the opposition alliance after receiving show-cause notice.
PPP Central Executive Committee (CEC) will hold a meeting on April 11 at Bilawal House in Karachi where it would ponder official response on the notice.
PPP Parliamentary Leader Senator Sherry Rehman said that PDM did not have a constitution and nobody could send a show-cause notice to any member.
She said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the founder of the opposition alliance.
She said PPP Central Executive Committee (CEC) would mull a response on the notice. She added that the founding party of PDM was not accountable to other constituent members through a charge sheet.
Sherry said they wanted discussions in a pleasant and friendly environment. “The coalitions do not run in an atmosphere of dictation”, she warned.
