After Faheem Siddiqui, Geo dismisses Mudassar Saeed also, Azhar Hussain and assignment editor Muhammad Raza are next

According to details received by News 360 from sources, decision to fire employees working against organization is purely of Mir Shakeel Ur Rehman and Mir Ibrahim

Country’s largest broadcaster Geo News has also fired Senior Executive Producer News Islamabad Mudassar Saeed after sacking its Karachi Bureau Chief Faheem Siddiqui. Sword of dismissal from job has started hanging on his head.

Faheem Siddiqui, former Bureau Chief of Geo News, was constantly active for rights of employees and journalists of Geo News, due to which owners fired him yesterday.

According to details received by News360, owners of Geo News are not going to stop after Faheem Siddiqui is expelled from the organization. Sources say that after a few days, senior executive producer Azhar Hussain will be fired. Azhar Hussain is a member of committee that was raising voice for rights of Jio employees. Main objective of committee is to provide timely salaries to employees and to increase salaries according to inflation.

Sources have told News 360 that after Azhar Hussain, Islamabad assignment editor Muhammad Raza will be named. Muhammad Raza Asma Shirazi’s husband is considered to be right hand of Mudassar Saeed. Sources have said that Muhammad Raza’s turn will come but with some delay.

Sources told News 360 that when was the decision to fire? A day before Friday, Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman arrived in Pakistan from America. He held an emergency meeting at his employer’s house. During meeting, he was shown all video evidence in which workers were protesting.

According to sources, documentary evidence was also shown to Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman during the meeting. After which it was decided that said people should be dismissed from institution immediately.

According to sources, Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman and Mir Ibrahim spent the entire Eid holidays planning where to start action. In this whole situation, MD Geo News Azhar Abbas was not involved in consultation with Mir Shakeel ur Rehman and Mir Ibrahim. Director News Raja Jawad was nowhere to be seen in all this matter.

Sources told News360 that secret planning to fire workers was done directly by owners of Geo News. The owners have also decided that they will fight a court battle, and fire workers who work against the institution.
