MQM Bahali Committee head Dr Farooq Sattar has advised Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) to boycott LG elections after MQM London gave a boycott.

MQM London leader Mustafa Azizabadi shared a video clip of Dr Farooq Sattar that was aired on a private news channel in which he advised MQM Pakistan to boycott the LG elections.

Azizabadi said in a Twitter message that Farooq Sattar, who planned to defeat the boycott appeal from London, also accepted that there is no other option but boycott.

He used hashtag “Altaf’s boycott will win”, he wrote that there is still time to believe. Now even those who failed our boycott have believed that boycott is the only solution.

In the clip shared by Mustafa Azizabadi, Dr Farooq Sattar is saying that when a person’s right to live is taken away. Basic rights should be taken away. If the population is reduced, then there is no other option.

Dr. Farooq Sattar said that when the quota of jobs is given to someone else and now there are injustices in constituencies, then what is left after that? We have to restore self-respect.

He further said that when there are such situations, it does not matter if there are elections or not. MQM Pakistan should boycott LG elections.

He suggested MQM Pakistan to boycott such elections, but the final decision has to be taken by Rabita Committee.

On the other hand, the Sindh High Court (SHC) rejected the request of MQM Pakistan regarding the postponement of LG polls in Karachi and Hyderabad.
