Investigative journalist Ahmad Noorani has slammed the senior anchorperson and journalist Najam Sethi for criticising and questioning the credibility of his investigative report on the tax details of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his family members.
Najam Sethi thrashed Ahmad Noorani’s recent investigative report that revealed the tax details of outgoing COAS Bajwa and his family members.
Ahmad Noorani, in his recent video on YouTube, slammed Sethi. While venting anger at the senior journalist, Noorani said experts should have collected the stories of TV channels including Dunya News or ARY News and compared the quality of content with the Fact Focus investigative reports although they are hardly 15 or 20 in numbers.

He censured Sethi and said that he has no respect for the journalists and Sethi’s whole journalistic career is also controversial instead of fieldwork. He said that Sethi thinks that the journalism is the name of having personal contacts with some people, lavish studios and finest clothing and etc. Noorani said that qualitative journalism cannot be done in this way.
Noorani revealed that people who usually have sittings with Sethi knew about the developments very well for 1.5 to 2 years. He asked Najam Sethi to tell the people that he had tried multiple times to find some clues from him regarding his investigative report about General Bajwa for which he faced extreme difficulties to collect evidence.
He challenged Sethi to tell the truth how he and his contacts in the US diplomatic circles pursued him to give some clues about his investigation into Gen Bajwa’s tax details.
The investigative journalist blasted Sethi over alleging that Noorani’s story was actually given by someone who fought with two groups. Noorani said that he spent years on his investigative report and collected hundreds of documents out of which the strongest evidence was reported on Fact Focus.
