Islamabad High Court has declared arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan legal in Al-Qadir Trust case, but co-accused of Imran Khan in whole game spectacle, Bushra Bibi and those who have confessed to crime of money laundering. Business tycoon Malik Riaz is not calling any names. On other hand, sources have told News 360 that NAB will be authorized to keep Imran Khan for four to five days. Meanwhile, PTI has decided to challenge decision of Islamabad High Court in the Supreme Court. Imran Khan will be produced in the Accountability Court of Police Lines Headquarters H-11/1 Islamabad today.

Late last night, Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamir Farooq, while pronouncing a reserved judgment, rejected PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s request for immediate release and declared his arrest legal.

However, he has ordered an inquiry into the incidents that took place on the High Court premises prior to Khan’s arrest.

Supreme Court also issued a contempt notice to the Secretary of Ministry of Interior and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Islamabad as to why Imran Khan was arrested from the court premises.

During the court proceedings, the Attorney General admitted that lawyers were subjected to torture during the arrest.

Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan was examined by seven-member medical board of Pimz Hospital, after which he will be produced in accountability court today.

Imran Khan will be produced in Accountability Court of Police Lines Headquarters H-11/1 Islamabad today. On request of NAB, Ministry of Interior has given status of sub-jail to Police Lines Guest House.

A notification has also been issued by Ministry of Home Affairs. According to the notification, judges hearing Al Qadir Trust case and Tosha Khana case will hear the cases at Police Lines Headquarters H11/1 Islamabad instead of Judicial Complex G-11/4.

Decision of PTI

After the Islamabad High Court (IHC) declared Imran Khan’s arrest legal, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to take its case to the Supreme Court.

This decision was taken in an emergency meeting chaired by senior leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi in response to the situation that arose after the arrest of the former prime minister.

Imran Khan shifted to Police Lines Guest House

Sources have told News360 that Imran Khan has been shifted to Police Lines Guest House. Furthermore, it has been revealed that the federal government has declared Police Lines Guest House as a sub-jail following the request of NAB and Imran Khan will be kept there in case of physical remand in the NAB case.

Legal experts say that the government has arrested Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case, but will the government also arrest Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi and the main accused Malik Riaz. Because Malik Riaz admitted that he had transferred 190 million pounds to Britain through money laundering.

Informed sources have told News360 that business tycoon Malik Riaz is currently in the US.
