Ali Gul Pir Harks Back Trees, Fantastic Tea & Abhinandan

PAF shot down two Indian planes and held Pilot Abhinandan over violation of Pakistan’s air space on the same day two years back

In an airstrike by Indian Air Force (IAF) on this day in 2019, Pakistan’s district Balakot lost four trees, and the comedian, rapper, and writer Ali Gul Pir released a song in memory of perished green-treasure and the cup of tea that IAF pilot Abhinandan enjoyed in Pakistan upon arrest.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down two Indian planes and held Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman over violation of Pakistan’s air space two years back and termed the operation “Swift Retort”.

IAF’s Wing Commander was held captive by Pakistan for few hours. During the time he spent in the land of arch-rivals, he could not resist praising them for hospitality.

“The officers of the Pakistani Army have looked after me very well”, he confessed in a video released.

Ali Gul Pir is known for his first single “Waderai ka Beta”, a comedy song about feudal lords and political elite of Pakistan.

Now on the second anniversary, the rapper Ali Gul Pir released a new song in memory of Abhinandan, the fantastic Pakistani tea, and the loss of four trees in Balakot.

“Two years back we lost 4 trees and here is my tribute to them”, Ali Gul captioned the new song.

The fans extolled the song on social media with a number of eulogizing comments and memes.
