‘Allah O Akbar’: OIC official anthem sung by Ali Zafar launched
‘Allah O Akbar’ sung by singer Ali Zafar, the remake of 1974 OIC Summit’s official anthem has been launched today ahead of the 48th CFM.
ISLAMABAD: ‘Allah O Akbar’ sung by singer Ali Zafar, the remake of 1974 Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit’s official anthem has been relaunched today ahead of the 48th OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) in Islamabad.
Famous singer Ali Zafar has sung the song produced by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The previous song was sung by Mehdi Zaheer.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Hussain Chaudhry on Saturday said the official anthem of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) being relaunched today had derived its theme of the unity of Ummah from the Holy Quran, APP reported.
Addressing the launching ceremony of the anthem, he said it was being launched marking the 48th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM).
Written by renowned poet Jamiluddin Ali in 1974, Fawad said the anthem was declared the official anthem of the OIC during the 1974 OIC Summit in Lahore.
He said its music had been composed of Western classics as music had the universal language, adding, the latest technology was used in the anthem.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the upcoming two-day 48th meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Council of Foreign Ministers in Islamabad has assumed huge significance in the backdrop of varying issues faced by the Muslim Ummah.
The foreign minister was addressing a launching ceremony of the official anthem of the 48th meeting of the OIC-CFM. Earlier, he launched the anthem along with Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain.
The OIC-CFM anthem is jointly released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The anthem was sung and recreated by renowned vocalist Ali Zafar and produced by Tasawar ul Karim Baig.
