Attack on Siddique Jan Backfires on Arshad Sharif
The protesters held and waved placards with slogans written against the ARY News anchorperson and in favor of the young journalist
The sympathizers of Siddique Jan staged a protest outside the ARY News office in Islamabad against anchorperson Arshad Sharif.
The Power Play host had beaten the young journalist when they both were present in Gwadar to attend the launching ceremony of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Phase-II on Sunday.
The protesters held and waved placards with slogans written against the ARY News anchorperson and in favor of Siddique Jan.

The demonstrators include journalists and YouTubers including Umer Inam, Zafar Naqvi, Shahid Saqlain, and others.
While addressing the participants and talking to News360, the speakers criticized that no anchorperson or prominent journalist condemned the assault on Siddique Jan.
They called for the registration of a case against Arshad Sharif and his accomplices as well as anchor’s sacking from the media outlet.
The speakers said that freedom of expression is the right of every individual.
They expressed that there should be strict action against elements who beat the young journalist merely for bearing a grudge against him.
