A blind U-turn on Karachi’s Schon Circle in Clifton area is serving as an open invitation for accidents as the motorists taking it are blinded by the advertisement boards placed there.
A U-turn on Karachi’s famous landmark Schon Circle has turned out to be a blind spot for the road users where mishaps are anxiously waiting to happen.
The motorists taking U-turn leading to Teen-Talwar roundabout from Schon Circle couldn’t see each other as their sight is obstructed by the advertisement boards placed on the footpath.

Interestingly, the Sindh High Court (SHC) upheld the decision of the Supreme Court (SC) to remove billboards in the megacity in October last year.
Last week, even Sindh government had directed to remove all advertisement billboards in Karachi in the purview of Taukte Cyclone that was expected to hit the coast of the metropolis.
However, in violation of the government’s orders, new billboards were erected.
The rickshaw drivers told News360 they couldn’t see vehicles coming from the other side which was dangerous and could lead to a crash.
They expressed the advertisement agencies should also keep account of problems faced by the people and not just their interests.
