Fishermen’s Cooperative Society shreds law into pieces by appointing a blue-eyed official as a Deputy Registrar.

The blue-eyed official, Sajid Abdul Karim Surahyo, has assumed the charge as Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies Audit Karachi to look after the affairs of Fishermen’s Cooperative Society Ltd, Karachi.

The measure has prompted a wave of concern among the workers and they claim that Surahyo signed the orders himself.

The administrative gap was created after the resignation of Fishermen’s Cooperative Society Chairman Hafiz Abdul Bar.

However, the court orders said he should remain in office until elections in the cooperative society however they were violated.

Sources told News360 that following the move, many employees have prepared their resignations.

They have demanded Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership to take strict notice of the matter.

Sources said the new deputy registrar started issuing peremptory orders since he assumed the charge.

The employees told that they have been directed to reach the office at sharp 9 am and attend the assembly. However, Surahyo himself wasn’t punctual.

Further, the workers are also being threatened to be sacked from jobs.

They have also threatened to stage a big protest if the orders are not reversed. They said that the administration would be responsible for consequences if Surahyo was not removed.

As per media reports, Deputy Registrar Surahyo refuted claims regarding the prevalent crisis and said that news regarding employees’ protest and late payment of salaries were false.
