Recently, a tragic accident took place in Karachi, where a food delivery rider died in the elevator, and the Twitter users not only discussed but suggested the formulation of a policy for them along with basic facilities.

In a series of tweets, a user named Ammar Khan shared details of the heart-wrenching incident that took place in Karachi’s Clifton area.

Explaining the case, the user wrote that the rider couldn’t make a call because his cellphone was deposited as security by a customer who gave him Rs 5,000 to get a change.

Commenting further, he added that a life was lost owing to mismanagement on part of the delivery service.

Moreover, he said that the delivery men weren’t even insured and yet they are expected to deliver the order within time limit for merely earning Rs 30 on a single order.

Soon after the tweet drew attention, the users sympathized with the deceased rider and demanded the concerned authorities to facilitate the workers-on-wheels.

Some even suggested how the whole system of delivering at home could be improved and save many lives in the future.
