The continuous comparison drawn between Malala and Peshawar Army Public School (APS) attack victim Waleed Khan irked the latter and he took to Twitter to vent out his annoyance.
Waleed Khan was just 12 when he was shot by terrorists during the attack. His injuries were scary far beyond imagination as the boy was shot 6 times in the face, once in the leg and once in the arm.

His parents were informed that their son has only 1% chance to live but he survived after several surgeries.
Now, the brave boy is studying in Birmingham and is also a United Kingdom (UK) Youth parliament member.
Social media users were drawing a parallel between Waleed and Malala that pushed the victim to give words to his thoughts on Twitter.

The brave survivor maintained that the woman education activist was an inspiration for many young people like him and it seemed unethical to lift someone by degrading the other.
“Malala’s family has been like a family to me throughout this journey. We should be proud of every person that has earned a great name for Pakistan instead of drawing constant comparison between them”, he added.
Waleed Khan expressed his regards to Malala and her family for being supportive throughout his painful journey.
He also requested his fans in Pakistan to stop drawing a comparison and thanked the nation for the love and warmth he received.
