‘Dance party’ offering drugs, private rooms under Islamabad admin’s noose
Islamabad administration and interior ministry have found nowhere as a secret ‘Night Dance Party’ is offering offered drugs, sheesha and private rooms on January 15.
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad administration and interior ministry have found nowhere as a secret ‘Night Dance Party’ is offering drugs, sheesha and private rooms to the participants in an upcoming event scheduled on January 15.
A Facebook page named ‘Night Parties’ has unveiled its upcoming event of ‘One Night Dance Party’ in Islamabad to be held on January 15 in which the venue was kept confidential from the public.
The organisers of the dance party are offering a bundle of ‘facilities’ including ‘drinks’, ‘ICE’ (narcotics) and private rooms to the participants including singles, couples and groups being charged up to Rs12,500. The organisers have also guaranteed ‘100%’ security to the participants seemingly from being caught by the law enforcers.
However, there is no clue of its venue and name of organisers on the Facebook page just like many other invitations being spread on the social media platforms but a contact number for communication through WhatsApp.
Such genres of private parties are consistently increasing day by day across Pakistan including the federal capital Islamabad despite the enforcement of strict laws against liquor and drugs. The public invitations were mostly sent through social media platforms including Facebook.
Interestingly, the higher authorities including the interior ministry and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have seemingly failed to notice the emerging trend of such illegitimate activities even in the federal capital in which drugs are being offered.
Although actions had been taken to discourage narcotics and liquor usage amongst the nationals, there is a steep rise in the private and secret parties whose organisers are now offering security from the security authorities to apparently do anything illegitimately without being caught.
It may be noted here that many criminal activities had also been reported like rape, torture, murder in major cities during private parties.
In September 2021, a girl had registered a case of gang rape against three men including his friend after allegedly being subjected to rape in a dance party in Lahore.
The victim girl, whose named was kept confidential by concerned authorities, revealed in the police complaint that she was continuously raped for seven days in a hotel room by the suspects besides being deprived of Rs600,000.
A similar incident had taken place in October 2020 in which an actress accused a policeman of raping her after inviting her to a hotel for a dance party.
