Differences in PML-Q: Shujaat Hussain’s brother shows support to Pervaiz Elahi
Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain has also announced the formation of a new party due to differences with his elder brother.
Following reports of differences between Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain has also announced the formation of a new party due to differences with his elder brother.
Addressing a press conference in Gujrat, Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain, the youngest brother of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, said that they will fulfill their promises made to former prime minister Imran Khan.
Criticising Salik Hussain, Wajahat Hussain said that Salik Hussain has nothing to do with Gujrat politics.
He said that the opponents who have never defeated us in our constituencies are tearing our family apart to defeat us in the political arena.
Wajahat Hussain said that he had met Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and he has given a message to the Gujrat people that he and Chaudhry Pervez Elahi are together.
He continued that he told Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain that he will convey his message but people are neither blind nor deaf as they could see that one brother is being backed by the Punjab police while another is being chased by the police.
He said that people see on TV every day that a man is standing with Shehbaz Sharif who has nothing to do with Gujrat politics and is getting his bail from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
On this occasion, Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Chaudhry Hussain Elahi said that he will fight the opponents with courage, now there is no way back, whereas, the PML-N government is registering cases against Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and Monis Elahi.
It is important to mention here that after the recent swearing in of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s son Chaudhry Salik Hussain as the federal minister and the nomination of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi’s son Hussain Elahi as the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, the PML-Q is practically divided into two factions.
