Famous Middle Eastern cuisine ‘Falafel’ introduced in Peshawar
Nawaf Ahsan Bakhit says Falafel is a light cuisine food but it is full of nutrients.
Nawaf Ahsan Abbasi from Iraq has introduced a Middle Eastern cuisine Falafel for the first time in Peshawar. Falafel is a healthy meal as most of the ingredients are natural, made from fresh vegetables and lentils.
Nawaf Ahsan Bakhit is from Iraq, he has been living in Pakistan for the past several years, he is associated with the education sector and because of his love for Pakistan, he has also married a Peshawari woman here.
He introduced the Arabic food Falafel for the first time at Chay Da Guray Restaurant in Peshawar.
They have recently opened a second branch of Arabic Food Falafel at Dean’s Trade Center in Peshawar. They say that they are training more youths and will open other falafel branches soon.
Falafel is derived from the Arabic word ‘Falafel’, which means ‘pepper’.
Nawaf Ahsan Abbasi told News360 that this food is also eaten in the Middle East including Saudi Arabia, Europe, London and America.
He said that falafel is a healthy vegetarian food because firstly it is made entirely from vegetables and lentils and secondly the ingredients used in it are mostly natural. He further said that I like the food of Peshawar very much and our family also eats it with great passion but those are heavy doses.
He said that I thought why not introduce such light food in Peshawar which is beneficial for health and not heavy on the pocket.
Bin Yamin Khan, a local resident of Peshawar, told News360 said that since falafel was introduced in Peshawar, we eat it with great enthusiasm because it is very beneficial for health as well as powerful.
He said that apart from the food of Peshawar when we get to eat Arabic food like falafel, we enjoy it a lot.
