ISLAMABAD: Former captain of Pakistan men’s hockey team and a social personality Fasi Zaka has brought a specially-abled philanthropist to the limelight who is silently serving humanity in Islamabad.
This unnamed specially-abled philanthropist is working for people’s well-being in Islamabad. In a Twitter thread, Fasi Zaka introduced Agha Hussnain Raza when he organised a Christmas event at Rawalpindi Arts Council on Friday.
While talking to him, Agha Hussnain Raza said, “I didn’t have a wheelchair when I was younger. My friend (Stephen) would carry me on his back to the street or to the ground to play. We were one family, a cake from us to them on Christmas, a cake to us on Eid.”
Fasi Zaki said, “Agha Hussnain Raza speaking at an event he organized at the Rawalpindi Arts Council. He and his team at the Pakistan Sports Council of Persons with Disabilities organized a Christmas event today for children.” He added that it was hard to describe just how much love existed in the room.
Zaki said, “They set out all the gifts (clothes, shoes, toys) in a row so children could choose what they liked, so none would feel that it was a donation.”

“We are right to be worried about the rise of intolerance in the country – but it’s also easy to lose sight of those trying to make a difference. The unsung who go about doing their work to make sure no one is left behind, or purposely excluded,”
“Agha Hussnain Raza has been doing this for a long time now, he gives away wheelchairs customized to the user, and a lot more. Everything comes from donations of people who don’t want recognition.”
Fasi Zaki said, “For example, Saver Foods that we all know well in Islamabad always does the catering for the children without fail and with a moment’s notice. Heroes – all of them.”
