In a Twitter message, Fatima Bhutto said, “I’ve always been a critic of Imran Khans politics and often wrote that he would damage Pakistan’s institutions with his opportunism & expediency so I say this with absolutely no feeling for his term or tenure: “purana” Pakistan was squalid [Morally degraded]. No one can celebrate its return in good faith.”

It is pertinent to mention here that the former federal cabinet of the then prime minister Imran Khan had decided to form an inquiry commission over the alleged US plot to topple the PTI government.
On the day of the no-trust voting, Imran Khan-led former federal cabinet had declassified the diplomatic cable and sent it to the top political heads including the Senate chairman and National Assembly (NA) speaker for reviewing its content.
The new government has also announced its plan to hold an inquiry into the lettergate scandal.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif is likely to be elected as the 23rd prime minister today after the voting in the National Assembly.
