Fawad, Gill get into superfluous Twitter spat with Abbasi, Ismail

A pointless debate was started by the duo, waging a messaging war against political rivals in a depreciative manner

ISLAMABAD: One of the top office-bearers of the federal government, Federal Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain and PM’s aide Shahbaz Gill, engaged in a superfluous Twitter spat with the political rivals, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) senior vice-president Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and former finance minister Miftah Ismail.

A pointless debate was started by the duo, waging a messaging war against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismail on Twitter in a depreciative manner.

Interestingly, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain vented anger on a tweet against the judiciary from a fake account of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Twitter in which the former premier claimed to receive a threat from a court to refrain from resisting the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as then prime minister.

Hussain took no time to check whether it is his verified account or not and retaliated by saying that he should file a reference against the one who had sent him the threatening message. He continued that the reputation of premiership was damaged after Abbasi assumed it.

In another verbal fight between the politicians, Miftah Ismail, PML-N senior leader and former finance minister, launched criticism against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led federal government over the rise in inflation including the prices of medicines. Ismail said in a twisted statement that it seems that the prices of medicines had also been increased like the wheat rates due to unexpected rainfall.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill came in to defend the government but in a derogative way, saying that he is the one who used to loot children through the toffies of his company. He compared Miftah Ismail to a ‘jinni’ who is always hunting to loot someone.
