Finance Ministry orders to stop salaries of govt employees due to economic crisis

Islamabad-based journalist Mehtab Haider has claimed that government of Pakistan has run out of funds to pay salaries to civil servants, due to which payments have been stopped.

The journalist claimed that the Ministry of Finance has issued instructions to the Accountant General Pakistan Revenues (AGPR) to stop the salaries of the government employees immediately.
Mehtab Haider his report I have said that AGPR has also been ordered to stop payment of bills of federal ministries, divisions and affiliated departments until further orders.

According to the report, senior government officials in a conversation with the English newspaper The News said that there are problems in operational expenses in the issue.
Government officials said that the country is suffering from a severe financial crisis. According to the journalist, the Ministry of Finance officials have refrained from giving any position in this regard.
Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar dismissed the news as false, however, he has not confirmed the instructions given to Accountant General Pakistan Revenue.
