First experience of “Our Pakistan” doctrine, Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq unanimously elected PM of Azad Kashmir

First example of “Our Pakistan” doctrine implemented in country came to light, former Speaker of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Anwarul Haq was elected as Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir unopposed.

Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, who was elected unopposed as Prime Minister in the midnight emergency session, changed history of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly.

No candidate came forward against Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, after which he got 48 votes out of 52 voting according to rules. Thus, he was elected as the Prime Minister with largest mandate in Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly.

Emergency session of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held between Wednesday and Thursday night, time was given for submission of nomination papers from 12:40 PM to 12:55 PM.

According to the Secretary Assembly of Azad Kashmir, no one’s nomination papers were submitted by the government, after which Speaker Anwar Haq was elected Prime Minister unopposed, but even after the unopposed election, the voting process was conducted.

The emergency session of the Legislative Assembly was adjourned for some time after which the session for the voting process began under the chairmanship of Deputy Speaker Chaudhry Riaz.

In the voting, 48 votes were cast in support of Chaudhry Anwar Haq in the House of 52. Two members of PTI did not participate in the election of the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, while Sardar Hasan Ibrahim of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Party and Sardar Atiq of Muslim Conference also participated in the voting process. Didn’t happen.

Chaudhry Anwar Haq belongs to Bhimbar District of Azad Kashmir, he was first elected Member of Assembly in 2006, Anwar Haq has been Speaker of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly twice.

It should be noted that the Azad Kashmir High Court sentenced Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas for contempt of court. The court sentenced the Azad Kashmir Prime Minister until the court was dismissed and declared him ineligible for any public office.
