FM Bilawal starts politics amid tensions after Pakistanis deaths in Afghan forces firing

Analysts said while realising the sensitivity of the situation, the foreign minister should have made a strong protest to the Afghan authorities over the attack instead of tweeting against the PTI chief.

FM Bilawal chose to bash Imran Khan instead of reacting to cross-border firing by Afghan forces

When the Afghan border forces were firing mortar shells in the Pakistani territory, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was mocking Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s address on Twitter.

Analysts said while realising the sensitivity of the situation, the foreign minister should have made a strong protest to the Afghan authorities over the attack instead of tweeting against the PTI chief.

The civilian population was targeted by the Afghan border security forces in Chaman without provocation. At least six civilians were martyred and more than 17 got injured due to shelling and indiscriminate firing by the Afghan forces.

Pakistan strongly condemned the incident that took place yesterday in which six Pakistani citizens were killed and 17 injured as a result of unprovoked and indiscriminate firing by Afghan border forces on civilians in Chaman.

Afghan security forces fired unprovoked on Pakistani civilians near the Pak-Afghan border in Chaman – Balochistan.

In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), it has been said that the Afghan border forces fired unprovoked in Pakistani territory, as a result of which 6 civilians were martyred and 17 were injured. It added that the Afghan forces used heavy weapons including mortar shells.

The ISPR spokesperson said Pakistan forces gave a strong response to the unprovoked firing by the Afghan border forces. However, the civilian population of Afghanistan was not targeted by Pakistan Army. ISPR said that Pakistan has informed the Afghan authorities about the serious situation on the border.

When the ISPR and the Foreign Office (FO) were protesting to the Afghan authorities on the Chaman incident, at the same time, FM Bilawal was tweeting mockingly about the speech of Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while tweeting satire on Imran Khan has written that “I heard that a ‘watch thief’  held a press conference. Did he dissolve the KP and Punjab assemblies? Absolutely not.”

He further wrote that “His attempts to convert institutions into his Tiger Force for his unconstitutional demand have failed before and will fail again.”

Analysts said that FM Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, considering the sensitivity of the matter, should have immediately contacted the Afghan authorities and strongly protested the unprovoked firing by the Afghan border forces in Chaman as these events are not encouraging for bilateral ties between the neighbouring countries.

They said that on December 2 of this month, the Pakistani embassy in Afghanistan was attacked, as a result of which a security guard was seriously injured, but the head of mission remained safe in the attack. if Pakistan protested effectively. If it were, the incident that happened last day would not have happened.
