Foreign funding case: PTI demands scrutiny of PML-N, PPP secret bank accounts
Opening Pandora’s Box, PTI central leader Farrukh Habib demanded similar accountability of secret bank accounts of PML-N and PPP that had been used to receive foreign funding.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has demanded undifferentiated scrutiny of secret bank accounts of the opposition parties, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced to conduct a hearing of the crucial case against the ruling political party today.
Opening Pandora’s Box, PTI central leader Farrukh Habib demanded similar accountability of secret bank accounts of PML-N and PPP that had been used to receive foreign funding.
The election commission is going to conduct another hearing of foreign funding case against the ruling PTI today.
Farrukh Habib, while talking to media in Islamabad on Monday (yesterday), claimed that PML-N and PPP had hidden its 9 and 11 banks accounts respectively.
He further said that nine secret bank accounts of PML-N had been traced during the scrutiny and the major opposition party will also face questions regarding the fake bank accounts of its companies.
The PTI minister said that PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari had committed almost the same genre of crime. He appealed to the ECP to indiscriminately conduct the scrutiny of bank accounts belonging to all political parties in the country.
