Foreign Minister’s visit to India: Not prepared for tough questions

Political analysts have expressed serious reservations about Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's visit to India for not preparing tough questions from Indian media

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari could not respond to India Today anchorperson Rajdeep Sardesai’s questions on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and withdrawal of Pakistani forces from Pakistan-administered Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Analysts say that if foreign minister was not prepared, why did he go to attend Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting and if he had already gone, what was need to give an interview to Indian media.

India Today’s anchorperson Rajdeep Desai asked Bilawal Bhutto Zardari that Dawood Ibrahim, mastermind of Mumbai attacks wanted by India, lives in Clifton, why don’t you arrest him and hand him over to India? Doing so will help release stalled peace deal.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari sidestepped question related to Dawood Ibrahim and termed Modi government’s August 5, 2019 action in Occupied Kashmir as reason for stalling peace agreement.

Regarding abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Bilawal Bhutto said, “Until India withdraws steps taken on August 5, 2019, Pakistan will not be in a position to negotiate with India bilaterally.” ”

Analysts say that Foreign Minister should have given a clear and clear answer to Rajdeep Desai that Dawood Ibrahim does not live in Pakistan, he is an Indian citizen and lives in Dubai. Contact, why is Pakistan being demanded?

In response to a question, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari mentioned UN resolutions on Occupied Kashmir, then Rajdeep Sardesai raised question that according to UN resolutions, Pakistan’s forces have to withdraw from Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that he is not denying legitimacy of India’s concerns, but I am only saying that way you are trying to address and resolve this concern is fruitful.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that by creating better coordination between India, Pakistan, and the international community, we can achieve more results than thought.

He said that the problem of terrorism can never be solved by turning it into domestic and geopolitical point scoring.
