With the surge in coronavirus cases amid third wave, the locals of Malir area of Karachi are concerned over a ghost vaccination center. The facility has been set up by Sindh government but it has no staff and visitors have to return without getting vaccinated.

According to fresh directives of National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC), the citizens aged 18 or above can now get themselves vaccinated.

To meet this demand, several new vaccination centers have been established across the country and they are operative in full swing.

However, the situation in ghost vaccination center in Karachi is exactly opposite to the claims of Sindh government.

The facility has hired medical and para-medical staff but just in papers and vaccine-aspirants have to return hopelessly.

One of the patients told News360 that he had to return from the related center without getting vaccine after finding the facilitiy empty.

IIn this regard, a digital investigative report prepared by News360 embeds all details of the issue that has so far failed to grab the attention of health department.

Sources told the staff do not show up and prefers to stay at home since the influx is low than expected.

The issue has made locals furious as those willing to get themselves inoculated have to travel to vaccination centers outside the vicinity.

The locals have demanded the government to look into the issue and ensure activity in the facility at the earliest.
