These audios have been leaked at a time when there was a strong possibility that the dispute over the date of the Punjab election would be resolved in the Supreme Court today because yesterday a 2-member bench had sent the matter to the Chief Justice for automatic notice under Article 184, while the Chief The Election Commissioner has been summoned to the court again today with the records of the correspondence with the government regarding the date of the elections.

On the other hand, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah also held a press conference yesterday as soon as the audio leaks took place and while announcing an investigation against Pervaizalhi, requested Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial to take notice of the matter. Now it is to be seen what action Chief Justice Umar Attabandial takes on this issue, however, whatever action is taken in this regard, the matter of Punjab election seems to be decided in the Supreme Court.
It should be noted that taking arbitrary decisions by making the judiciary and institutions controversial is an old habit of Muslim League-N. Earlier in the 90s, the audio of the then Chief Minister of Punjab and former judge of the Lahore High Court, Justice Malik Qayyum, was leaked in which he On the instructions of Nawaz Sharif, former MNA Chaudhry Sarwar was seeking relief from him in the disqualification case and Justice (Rtd) Malik Qayyum was in favor of giving him relief.
