The top cream of different political parties of interior Sindh decided to form an anti-PPP alliance for the upcoming elections of local bodies and beyond.
The political heavyweights from Sukkur, Dadu, Naushahro Feroze and Larkana attended the sitting in Kot Duryab on Sunday.

Federal Privatization Minister Muhammad Mian Soomro, former federal ministers including Liaquat Ali Jatoi, Sardar Ali Gohar, Ghous Bux Mahar, Agha Taimoor Pathan, Dr Ibrahim Jatoi, Benazir Bhutto’s ex-political secretary Naheed Khan, Safdar Abbasi, former chief ministers including Syed Ghuos Ali Shah and Liaquat Ali Jatoi and JUI-F’s Moulana Rashid Mehmood Soomro were among the political bigwigs who attend the summit.
Sindhi nationalists including Ayaz Latif Palijo, Riaz Hussain Chandio and Dr Qadir Magsi were also part of the meeting while Sanan Khan Qureshi remained absent due to detention.
The political figures who met to develop consensus for the formation of an alliance against the ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) are said to have influence in major districts of interior Sindh.
The unification has come to weaken PPP in the province it is ruling for the past decade.
The participants also discussed poverty, corruption, and water scarcity while expressing deep concerns about the sale of valuables lands of Sindh.
The political juggernauts decided to form an alliance following the specimen of Larkana Awami Ittehad (LAI).
The leaders have decided to fight upcoming local bodies elections under the alliance in the offing and the caucus may likely extend in the next general elections too.
