Hackers have allegedly targeted former energy minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader Hammad Azhar’s Twitter account (@Hammad_Azhar) multiple times.

In a series of Twitter message, Hammad Azhar confirmed cyberattacks on his Twitter handle and said that back-to-back hacking attempts were made by someone.

He wrote, “I have recovered my email accounts & reset my Apple ID account. When I recovered my email account I found that the DP on one of my email accounts has been changed (attached below) with the name Muhammad Sheryar. And my twitter was attached to an email account (image below).”

Azhar said, “IT experts have now told me how it happened. A phone locator (Fake Tower) was used to connect to my phone and access my text messages and data. From there they started sending reset requests to all accounts (emails, apple, twitter). We have a fascist but very afraid govt in power.”

In his May 27 tweet, he confirmed that his Twitter account was recovered.

However, in the latest development, Fawad Chaudhry said that Azhar could not login to his Twitter account anymore.
