Hamza Mysteriously Silent on NAB’s Action Against Maryam

Ever since Hamza Shahbaz was released on bail after nearly 20 months, both PML-N leaders have been observed to be distant from each other

The mysterious silence of Hamza Shahbaz on NAB’s action against Maryam Nawaz has raised concerns about possible differences between the cousins.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) for cancellation of bail granted to PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills (CSM) case.

The hearing on petition will be carried out today by a two-member bench headed by Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfaraz Dogar.

In the appeal, NAB has maintained that PML-N Vice President has been leveraging bail against the state institutions.

Interestingly, the accountability watchdog has moved to court ahead of the long march of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) scheduled on March 26.

PML-N leaders have bashed NAB over the measure, however, the opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly, Hamza Shahbaz, has not issued any statement yet in a style and manner he has been known for.

The mysterious silence of Hamza Shahbaz on NAB’s latest action against her cousin Maryam has raised curiosity of political pundits.

They believe that ever since Hamza Shahbaz has been released on bail after nearly 20 months, they have gone distant from each other.

And now, Hamza has not spoken against NAB which is ascertaining doubts of differences between the cousins.
