The filmmaker thinks that even revealing about the mishap in Pakistan would not make any difference ‘if the attacker is cool buddy of Liberal twitter heroes who stand against cool issues but not against their Lit festival dudes’.
No one i repeat NO ONE Should come out and reveal their assault in this country if the attacker is cool buddy of Liberal twitter heroes who stand against cool issues but not against their Lit festival dudes. #MeToo

Probably, Jami’s harassment claims couldn’t catch enough attention like Meesha Shafi who accused singer Ali Zafar of harassing her and received immense support.
The saga began when in October 2019, Jami shared in a tweet the reason why he supported #MeToo movement. He claimed of being a victim of molestation and that too by a media tycoon.
This revelation proved to be seismic for the media fraternity and the filmmaker was frequently urged to disclose the name of the ‘media tycoon’ who had allegedly molested him.
Later in December 2019, the filmmaker threw off the shackles and revealed the name of the alleged rapist on Twitter.
