PDM chief looked in a bit of different color as he targeted the PTI-led government instead of the establishment

It appears PDM Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman has softened his tone against the establishment as he is on the track of PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif.

After a long gap, PDM Head Maulana Fazal met with Shahbaz Sharif, sidelining Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif and both leaders held a press talk afterward.

They announced different measures to pile up pressure on the government including protests and a long march on Islamabad.

PDM chief looked in a bit of different color as he targeted the PTI-led government instead of the establishment.

He reiterated his demand for free and fair polls in the country without mentioning the grim role of the establishment like he had repeatedly done in the past.

PDM chief also said he wants the army disciplined and strengthened.

Maulana steered his criticism to Prime Minister Imran Khan and said he has harmed the image of the institution.

Both leaders said free and fair elections are the only way to bring out the country of the crises.

The political analysts see Maulana’s change in stance as conformity to Shahbaz’s soft narrative for reforms in the system.

They said the PDM chief has apparently realized that confrontation with state institutions will not reap any results.

Therefore, he looked placid towards them in the last press talk as PDM chief which was different from all previous instances.
