High Crime Rate Dominates Karachi in July Again
Around 44,000 crime incidents have been reported during the first 7 months of the current year that is 37% more than the corresponding period last year
The crime rate in Karachi has not lowered in July despite tall claims of improvement in the law and order situation in the metropolis.

Until now, some 11,570 crime instances have been reported during the span as compared to the same period last year.
Last year, the police had reported 31,527 incidents of crime from January and July.
This year, the people in Karachi were robbed of 27,040 motorcycles while more than 2,500 were stolen at gunpoint.
More than 1,000 cars were snatched or stolen during the period as well while around 12,500 cellphones were snatched.
The data said that the motorbike snatching incidents this year have risen by 100% while its theft has gone up by 50%.
Car theft has surged by 14% as compared to the corresponding period last year along with cellphone snatching which has registered an increase of 10%.
Only in July, the citizens of Karachi were deprived of some 4,080 motorbikes and 2,091 cellphones.
The data about the crime rate in Karachi showed that some 42 citizens were also killed in July in different crime occurrences.
