Karachi Police Official Involved in Kidnapping For Ransom
DSP Faheem Farooqui was accused by a citizen Mohammad Bilal of kidnapping him in a police mobile with his associate police officers
The police are supposed to be on guard for its citizens while in the metropolitan city Karachi, a high-ranked Sindh police officer was found involved in short-term kidnapping for ransom.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Faheem Farooqui was accused by a citizen Mohammad Bilal of kidnapping him in a police mobile with his associate police officers.
The accident took place at a shop near Safoora Goth and FIR was registered against the nominated officers in Sachal police station.

According to FIR, the DSP was allegedly involved in kidnapping a man from a shop making use of a police mobile without a number plate.
Mohammad Bilal alleged that police officers snatched Rs 0.2 million at the time of kidnapping before hauling him away and further demanded Rs 25,000 in ransom from his family.
As per details, the plaintiff Bilal claimed that the DSP was himself driving the mobile without a number plate and kept him blindfolded for several hours.
The video of the ransom collection, secretly recorded, went viral on social media and the police department started probing into the matter.
Upon investigation, the police found rapid response force (RRF) officer Faheem Farooqui involved in the illegal activity and suspended him.
According to police officials, further investigation is underway against the DSP and three other policemen named in the case.
