Hina Parvez Obnoxiously Criticized Over Maryam-Jinnah Comparison

Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Hina Parvez Butt compared Maryam Nawaz Sharif with Benazir Bhutto and Fatima Jinnah and she was criticized by the opponents who disagreed with her but inappropriately.

On the occasion of the 13th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, Hina Parvez shared a collage on her Twitter handle in which Fatima Jinnah, Benazir Bhutto, and Maryam Nawaz were placed adjacent to each other and the lawmaker was heavily criticized for it.

The stylish lawmaker captioned the photo as ‘ the woman who stood for democracy’.

However, it was only a matter of time when she published it as the comments from the opponents flooded the comment section. Most of the users went below the belt in disagreement and wrote things that were inappropriate.

Hina Parvez was criticized, for comparing Maryam Nawaz with Fatima Jinnah, by men and women alike. However, sadly, those who made awful comments not only included men but also women.

The female users recalled the past events when Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif were arch-rivals to each other. Though, the reality of such dark incidents of the past is debatable, pointing them out to express dissent is undignified.

The post may have disgruntled supporters of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as well as general people but conferring female politicians with obnoxious titles has raised many questions on the moral values.

It is an established fact that the supporters of PTI assert that Prime Minister Imran Khan is a bigger leader than the founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah while PPP supporters compare ex-President Asif Ali Zardari with Nelson Mandela.

This is not the first time and apparently, Hina Parvez Butt isn’t the first politician to face such unpleasant criticism for sharing her thoughts.
