If Zardari Picks Pakistan, Why Can’t Maryam For Wedding of Her Son?

The wedding of the son of Maryam Nawaz could be an easy getaway for her to bid farewell to Pakistan, however, certain factors made the escape impossible and people have started comparing PML-N leader with former President Asif Ali Zardari.

The wedding of Junaid Safdar has been fixed with the daughter of former politician Saif-ur-Rehman, Ayesha Saif, and it will take place in London on August 22.

The news sparked a fire on social media soon after Maryam Nawaz shared the invitation card.

Recalling her mother’s death, Maryam said she was in jail and couldn’t travel to London and she won’t be able to be with her son due to the government’s restrictions on her after getting convicted in corruption cases.

She added, “But, I will NOT make any request to this government for travel abroad. I leave the matter to Almighty Allah”.

Sources confirmed Maryam, as well as Captain (retd) Safdar, will not be attending the wedding as her name is still on Exit Control List (ECL).

Meanwhile, the wedding would be attended by the groom’s maternal grandfather, convicted PML-N Supremo Nawaz Sharif, as he is still in the British capital, seeking an extension in his visa.

His doctor has submitted a report in the Lahore High Court (LHC) claiming that Nawaz Sharif is not allowed to travel or visit public places as he is suffering from heart and kidney ailments.

Considering the aforementioned circumstances, both don’t seem fit to travel.

Among the social media users, the situation has certainly elevated the regard for former President Asif Ali Zardari who has always preferred staying in Pakistan, despite his poor health condition, to face corruption cases.

In July, Zardari was admitted to a private hospital in Karachi as he suffered exertion and exhaustion after making multiple appearances in the court and budget sessions.

Therefore, the commentary is being done on social media that arranging the wedding ceremony of Junaid Safdar in Pakistan was the best choice for Maryam if she was unable to go abroad.

The users also said questioned why Maryam Nawaz couldn’t arrange a reception for her son in Pakistan if the wedding of Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari could take place here.
