After receiving backlash for his rape comments, Prime Minister Imran Khan has clarified his point of view and said his comments were deliberately taken out of context.
Earlier, the rape comments by Imran Khan were widely condemned in Pakistan and even trends ran against him on social media platforms.
In an interview with PBS NewsHour, Imran Khan said that the perpetrator was sole to be blamed for the act. No matter how provocative a woman is, whatever she wears, he added.

The premier said his comments were deliberately taken in the wrong context as he remembered all interviews he had given.
To a question, Imran Khan said he talked about Pardah in Islam which is not just for women but men too.
He said that his previous comments particularly focused on indigenous society.
“Islam gives dignity, respect to women, and they are treated with respect in Muslim countries but there are odd cases”, Imran Khan told the interviewer.
He added that the rape cases in the Muslim world are minuscule compared to the west however every nation has some cultural problems and they have their own.
In an interview with Jonathan Swan for Axios on HBO in June, the premier had blamed the inappropriate dress style of women leading to a rise in harassment and rape cases.
