When Pakistan struggles to vaccinate its mammoth population against coronavirus, the tiny influential clique is getting vaccinated at their homes.
In the first phase of vaccination, the government has dedicated available jabs for frontline health workers and senior citizens for their inoculation.
However, influential individuals are getting vaccinated at home even without satisfying the criteria.
Samma Tv Sports Journalist Abbas Shabbir shared a photo on Twitter where he was spotted being administered the coronavirus vaccine, apparently at a house.
Now, Abbas Shabbir has deleted the photo but the social media users had already taken screen-snaps for the sake of record.
This happened when thousands of journalists across the country are pushing the government to declare them as frontline workers, citing job nature.
A number of journalists have died in the line of duty during the pandemic too. But, only the heavyweights manage to get the facility errantly.
Meanwhile, the channel is looking for a health reporter having deep roots in the health sector of Pakistan. But it has overlooked the influence of its sports reporter who brought vaccine home.
Notably, Pakistan is facing a dearth of coronavirus vaccines for its population of more than 230 million.
The current vaccination program is heavily dependent on only 1 million doses donated by China.
But, the journalists, politicians, and celebrities have managed to take a share from pie even from meager resources.

The incident enraged social media users so much so that the minister and actress had to come up with an explanation, though it was unsatisfactory.
The masses believe irregularity has just started and more such cases would surface only when more vaccines fill the shelves.
The heavyweights more will get their ‘due’ share and the common people would be left at the mercy of the prowling virus.
