Lahore Metro Bus Service Gets Troublesome For Passengers
Due to suspension of the metro bus service, the Mass Transit Authority faced a loss of over Rs 120 million in 22 days
Soon after the National Command Operation Centre (NCOC) has issued a permit to resume operations of Metro Bus Service in Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, the facility has become troublesome for the citizens.
The project of bus rapid transit operating in Lahore was built jointly by Punjab and the Turkish government.
Previously, the government of Punjab suspended the operation of the bus service to stem the spread of coronavirus that had caused a loss of over Rs 120 million in 22 days to the Mass Transit Authority (MTA).

Sources have claimed that not only once, but the Lahore Metro Bus service has broken down a couple of times on the track which became troublesome for passengers.
Similarly, the metro bus number 12 on its way to Gajju Matta, broke down due to engine failure as soon as it crossed Ittefaq Station and the passengers were forced to walk in the scorching heat.
In this regard, a digital report has been prepared by News360 in which the passengers including children and women could be seen getting down the bus on the metro track.
The passengers revealed that it was not the first time a bus had stopped due to technical fault, other vehicles of bus service malfunction quite frequently and such kind of incidents happen every day in the middle of the journey.
News360 learned that the metro bus management has taken action against malfunctions despite several complaints.
