IRIS has released its latest survey according to which most popular leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and PTI chairman Imran Khan is currently the most popular leader.
According to details, according to the latest IRIS survey, former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has emerged as the most popular politician of Pakistan so far.
IRIS has released the results of its survey at a time when elections are going to be held in Punjab province on May 14 as ordered by the Supreme Court.
It should be noted that Imran Khan was assassinated last year in which he narrowly escaped, but the threat of arrest is still hanging over his head.
According to the IRIS Pakistan released in the second week of April, 56 percent of Pakistanis voted for Imran Khan, while 16 percent of Pakistanis voted for his rival leader Nawaz Sharif.
According to the survey, Chairman People’s Party and Co-Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari have been the weakest candidates, only one percent of Pakistanis have voted for them.
The results of the survey did not go well in favor of the current Prime Minister and Muslim League (N) President Shehbaz Sharif and only 2 percent of Pakistanis voted for him.
According to the IRIS survey, 11 and 16 percent of Pakistanis have voted for other parties and independent candidates respectively.
It may be noted that Imran Khan’s government was dismissed in April 2022 through a no-confidence motion, which he accused General (Rtd) Qamar Javed Bajwa of being behind the conspiracy. Imran Khan had also accused the US of being involved in removing his government.
After the overthrow of his government in April last year, the majority of the people were happy about his removal, however, based on the worst economic performance of the current government, public opinion completely changed and within a few months Imran Khan has reached the peak of popularity.
