PTI and PML-N members blamed the other for initiating row in the lower house of the parliament

Pakistan saw the absolute beauty of democracy in the national assembly on Tuesday when the masses witnessed an absolute fracas as the treasury benches tried to interrupt the speech of the Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif for the second consecutive day.

Similar scenes of upheaval were witnessed in the Sindh Assembly when the opposition members, those who are in the government in the center, tried to stop Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah from presenting the budget.

As soon as Shahbaz Sharif resumed his half-delivered speech of Tuesday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members got up from their benches and proceeded towards him shouting slogans.

Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) lawmakers also came forward to shield their vice-president and both sides came at close quarters.

Some members even hurled pejoratives at the opponents which triggered a book-fight between them and they flung books at each other in an attempt to strike the members on the other side of the aisle.

The ministers and office-holders were also seen involved in the row in different videos that surfaced on the internet. The commotion lasted until the opposition leader completed his post-budget speech.

After the nation witnessed a noisy session, Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry and PML-N’s spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb shared truncated clips of the disrupted session on their respective Twitter accounts to clear the air against them.

However, irrespective of who and what commenced it, Pakistanis were seen red over the scenes in the national assembly and condemned it.

On the same day but another place, identical scenes were witnessed in the Sindh assembly where the PTI and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) provincial lawmakers came at each other’s throats.
