Is PDM Going to Change The History at Minar-e-Pakistan?
The demonstration by Imran Khan at Minar-e-Pakistan in 2011 remained a historic event
WEB DESK: The next demonstration of the Pakistan Democratic Moment (PDM) is scheduled for December 13 in Lahore. The PDM is claiming that the rally, going to be held at the Iqbal Park in the shadow of Minar-e-Pakistan, will be historic.
Earlier, the demonstration by Imran Khan on the same location at Minar-e-Pakistan, around nine years back on October 30 in the year 2011, was an historic event.
Attended by several thousand PTI stalwarts, the meeting remained an essential one in bringing Imran Khan closer to power.
This rally is a big challenge for PDM as it is difficult in the current situation to set foot in the political arena.
Pakistani Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Leader Ahsan Iqbal has claimed that the decisive voice of the nation will be echoed on December 13.
The next demonstration of PDM in Islamabad is going to oust the government, he asserted.
According to Fahad Hussain, the editor of daily Dawn, Ishaq Dar’s recent interview with the BBC has played a big role in deflating PDM’s balloon.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz said that the PDM would not be barred from staging the rally.

However, the opposition is willing for any impediment from government to gain sympathy. Ahsan Iqbal said that if the government is going to obstruct than the citizens of Lahore will roundup even excessively in the rally to show power.
However, the question is whether this alliance of 11 political parties will be able to make a new history by erasing the imprints of Imran Khan’s historic meeting of 2011.
