IHC grants 10 days bail to Imran Khan in 7 cases and extension in 2 cases

Islamabad High Court grants 10-day bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan in seven cases and extended it in 2 cases.

Islamabad High Court granted interim bail to Imran Khan for 10 days in seven cases including rebellion, murder, attempted murder, emergency visit to judicial complex, former prime minister also appeared in court.

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb heard PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s bail application, during which Imran Khan also appeared in court.

During hearing, lawyer of Chairman PTI Imran Khan said that even today he came to court under unusual circumstances, he did not want to come here, but the former prime minister reached the courtroom today in a wheelchair.

Imran Khan’s lawyer said that 140 FIRs have been registered against my client so far, he has taken bail in all those cases that he is aware of, but he did not want to come directly to High Court today for bail.

Chief Justice said that we had said that we will give protection to approach concerned court, you have not even joined investigation yet, we assured you from first date that we will only give protection.

Imran Khan’s lawyer said that my client is ready to record the statement, on which Justice Amir Farooq said that this statement will not be recorded as you want, it will be recorded as per procedure.

During hearing, on Fawad Chaudhry’s repeated repetition, judges got up from court and went to their chambers, judges remarked we are providing you with relief and you are going to repeat it again and again.

Later, Islamabad High Court reserved judgment on Imran Khan’s bail pleas, which was pronounced after some time. Court granted Imran Khan bail for ten days in seven of nine cases.
