Jahangir Tareen refuses to join PML-N during meeting with Suleman Shehbaz

PM Shehbaz Sharif's son Suleman Shehbaz met Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen at his residence in Lahore.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s son Suleman Shehbaz met Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen at his residence in Lahore.

To meet Jahangir Tareen, Suleman Shehbaz reached his house in Lahore and met him. Adviser to Prime Minister Aun Chaudhry also participated in the meeting.

In the meeting, the political situation of the country was discussed and the future political plan was discussed.

According to sources, Sulaiman conveyed the prime minister’s message to Jahangir Tareen. Sources said that Sulaman also invited him to join PML-N, however, he refused to join the PML-N.

The meeting held at a time when the government and the opposition in Punjab are preparing for the Punjab CM vote of confidence.

Sources told News360 that Jahangir Tareen denied Suleman Shehbaz in a soft manner and said that we want to maintain our identity in politics and therefore cannot join PML-N.

He said that we will contest elections under our party flag while the option of seat adjustment with PML-N can be used on some seats.

Regarding Jehangir Tareen’s refusal, sources said that the popularity of PML-N in Punjab is decreasing day by day, and to avoid political loss, Tareen has refused Suleman. Sources added Tareen may join hands with the PPP in the near future.

Political analysts expressed surprise over Suleman’s meeting with Tareen and Aun Chaudhry. They said that Suleman is a non-political person, and secondly, his meeting in the presence of Hamza Shehbaz does not fit the context of the situation.

They said that Hamza Shehbaz should have held this meeting, but it did not happen, which means that preparations have been started to give Suleman a key role in the politics of Punjab.
