However, the journalist had mentioned in his e-mail that he would be sacked from his job on some pretext.

He had warned in the letter that the chief would create hindrances in the renewal of his contract.
The Pakistani journalist also wrote an e-mail to VOA’s top official Steven Springer and shared his concerns too.
He wrote in the Facebook post that the organization informed him on June 15 that the contract would not be renewed and he was relieved from his services at the end of the month.
The disappointed journalist said that different employees were laid off from VOA on different charges including harassment, corruption, misconduct, etc.
However, he strongly asserted that no one could level any such allegation against him.
When nothing was found, Mubashir said that his employer accused him of using social media where he used to lambast Pakistan’s military establishment.
But, he recalled that Jang Daily barred him from writing columns over the same reason. This is the same reason that a vilification campaign was run against him and his family on social media, he noted.

The veteran journalist mentioned that his period posts against VOA were not his anger but he was just perforating the balloon.
Now that journalist Mubashir Ali Zaidi has become jobless, he told his followers that he would disclose more stories as a free man and wash dirty laundry in public through his posts on social media.
